Your Work Matters – Colossians 3:22-4:1 – January 8 2017
Series: (All)

Do you love your current job, or does your work drain you? When we look at the Word of God, we see from Paul's letter to the church in Colossi that whatever job or assignment you are currently in, you can do it as an act of worship to the Lord. Paul, in his letter specifically addresses "slaves" and how they ought to serve their masters. The reality is that we could easily interchange the word "employee" for the word "slave" and the passage immediately becomes relevant to our current day to day activity. His words must have been not only eye opening for the employees serving a master, but it must have also been so for the masters. We would like to invite you to turn in your Bible to Colossians 3:22, download the teaching notes, and watch the YouTube link before you start the audio teaching by Pastor Anton. We hope and trust that you will be encouraged and challenged to look at work with a new fresh set of eyes.

    The Other Side
Have you ever been asked by Jesus to do something that took you out of your comfort zone and familiarity? The Disciples sure did! When Jesus spoke the words "Let us go to the other side" in reference to sailing across the Sea of Galilee, they must have questioned His thoughts and intentions. Jesus and the Disciples had been ministering in and around the region of Galilee, primarily based out of Capernaum. LARGE masses of people from all over had begun traveling to hear His teaching and witness His miracles. Yet Jesus tells His Disciples to load into a boat and take Him away from the masses to go and find the one. During this teaching, we hope that your faith will be strengthened, and that you will be encouraged to step out of familiarity for the sake of Jesus' name.
