Sermon Notes

Do you personally like hot drinks or cold drinks better? When it comes to the way you like your tea or coffee, do you like them piping hot or with ice? I don’t believe it would be too far fetched to assume that most people like them either one way or the other but that very few would like them lukewarm. When it comes to lukewarm coffee, tea, and even water it can be gross! We would like to invite you to turn in your Bible to Revelation 3:14, where Jesus speaks about the people of the Laodicean church being “lukewarm.” The city of Laodicea where the church that the message from Jesus was located at within Asia Minor has a rich background and context. While much could be said, and Pastor Anton does teach on many components of their historical context, the main thing that we learn is that the people of Laodicea had become lulled into a lukewarm, unproductive faith in Jesus. They were likely prideful of their accomplishments and wealth, and unable to see their desperate need for a Savior. We would like to invite you to download the teaching notes and listen to the following message by Pastor Anton. We hope and trust that you will be encouraged.
