Have you ever been out to dinner, and everyone else received their food but your dinner never came? Have you ever been picked dead last for a sporting event? Have you ever been the only one who wasn’t asked out to prom? Many of us have had at least a similar experience to one of these that have been described. It seems that everyone else is being blessed while we are being overlooked. This experience and the emotions that come with it are not exclusive to dating relationships or a business promotion… they also apply to us spiritually. Each of us goes through times and seasons when we feel more or less closely connected to God. During those seasons when it seems to be a more distant relationship, will you stand on the truths of who God was, who He is, and trust that even if you aren’t able to understand His plan, you will trust His heart?
